Hi! I am SO glad that you are here! To be honest, I feel extremely blessed that you are. I hope that you enjoy your visit to Unveiling Adventure and many more to come. Over two years ago, I met a horse that changed my life. I now call her my own. I mention her not because I’m going to fill your ears with talk of horses just yet (that will come later), but because meeting her was the beginning of an adventure that God was and still is unveiling to me.
I see this blog almost like that horse.
When I met her, she wasn’t much of anything. She didn’t know how to be led on a lead rope (like any normal horse), let alone be saddled or ridden. She has come a long way. She now follows me with respect when I lead her, she stands when I saddle her, she accepts a bit into her mouth, and she lets me ride her at a walk, a trot and a lope. Despite the adventures that my mare and I have already experienced together, we still have a LOOOONG way to go. She isn’t close to what I would call a broke horse. And I have hopes and dreams of turning her into a lot of things like a good cow pony, a barrel racer, a jumper and maybe someday a kid’s horse.
Likewise, this blog isn’t currently much of anything. It’s a destination on the crowded internet that has a lot of room for content and growth, but that empty space is the playground for my dreams, imagination and still veiled adventures. It’s just the beginning of a journey right now that could turn into any number of things.
I say all this to invite you with me on the adventure of this blog being made, the same as my horse is being made. I promise you that I will be real with you along the way. I plan on sharing things that are very near and dear to my heart with the hope that maybe you will relate to, connect with, or be encouraged by them. And if nothing else, maybe you’ll find them interesting.
A lot of blogs on the web today have one topic as their focus. Unveiling Adventure is a blog that will cover many topics, stories, changes and challenges because as the name says, the adventure of our lives is still being unveiled each and every day whether we see it or not. The one thing that I will always come back to is the complete involvement and absolute inspiration that the Lord Jesus Christ has upon my adventure. I would not be who I am with out Him willingly sacrificing Himself on the cross out of love for me. I hope you will begin to see how God cares about the little details of life and share in my thanksgiving to Him for who He is and what He has done for each and every one of us. Come join me as I set out to chart the journey!
