I am Amanda LaLone. I’m a girl who has always dreamed of great adventures.

Home for the first 21 years of my life was located in the beautiful, rolling hills of central Pennsylvania where the landscape consisted of hillsides dotted with dairy farms and trees everywhere else.

I grew up playing out the adventures of my imagination including out-riding and out-doing the “bad guys”, falling in love with a handsome cowboy and racing across prairies on the back of a gorgeous horse.

Unfortunately, I didn’t grow up with any horses, and I certainly didn’t grow up with the winds of the prairie blowing through my hair.

Fortunately for me, I have a God who loves me, gave me those dreams and my imagination and has taken my life and turned it into an adventure that I never would have thought possible for this little, inexperienced dreamer.

I am happily married to the man of my dreams, who after our wedding whisked me away on the back of a horse and off to the great state of Montana. His name is Dean. As a result, home is now on a working cattle ranch where the winds of the prairie blow most every day.

Some things that characterize me are: 1) my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, 2) my handsome husband who continually shows his love for me throughout our busy lives, and 3) my love for horses and everything having to do with them.

My desire for my blog is this: 1) that it will keep my many friends and family who live thousands of miles away involved in my daily life, 2) that it will be a place where everyone can read and enjoy the stories and insights that come out of adopting the ranching lifestyle on the Montana prairie as a newlywed, and 3) that complete strangers could connect and relate with the dreams dreamt, the struggles endured, the faith lived out, the challenges overcome, and, of course, the adventures traversed of a real, everyday life.

Some of the musings I share with you may seem rather simple, even small, but sometimes the biggest adventures begin with the smallest and simplest of beginnings. In my opinion it’s not only about noticing the small things in life, but also appreciating them.
